Super Reading Camp

Booksie’s Super Reading Camp is a joyful celebration of books, storytelling and creativity for 3-12-year-olds. Whether your child is just starting out on their reading journey or already devouring stories, there is a place for them at Super Reading Camp.

Every week is packed with adventures through stories from across Africa and beyond, bringing characters and worlds to life in ways that spark imagination and a lifelong love of reading. Flexible attendance means you can join at the start, midway or set a schedule that works for your family.

    **McCarthy Hill requires a minimum number of registrations. Families who choose this location will receive an update by 10 July. If enrolment numbers are not sufficient, readers will have the option of attending the Dzorwulu camp instead.

  • The daily option is ideal for readers who wish to join us for just a couple of days a week.
  • The weekly option suits those looking to participate for a few weeks.
  • The monthly option covers four weeks and is perfect for those available for just one month.
  • The full camp fee encompasses the entire 7-week period.
  • All costs are tax-inclusive.
  • Families with more than one child receive a 10% sibling discount.
  • Saturday Book Club members get an additional 5% discount.
  • Lunch is not included in the above costs. It is available for 45ghs per meal or you can bring your own.
  • Readers receive a storybook for every full calendar week (5 days) of participation.
  • READING LESSONS

    Beginning readers learn to read using Jolly Phonics, while fluent readers dive into comprehension, spelling and writing.

  • WRITING

    Younger readers learn handwriting, while older readers explore creative writing, shaping stories and building characters.

  • ART AND CRAFT

    Using recycled materials, 3D printing and hands on building, readers strengthen creativity and problem-solving.

  • PUBLIC SPEAKING

    Public speaking gives readers the chance to become more confident as they learn to think critically and share their thoughts and ideas.

  • DANCE

    Readers take a break from reading through dance, expressing themselves through movement while relaxing.

  • THEATRE

    We bring the stories we read to life through theatre. It is another fantastic way to build readers' confidence and communication skills.
